M-power

M-Power Plus module for mobile starter is the product for remote operation of pump set through a mobile phone. The farmer can operate his pump set at the farm through his mobile from anywhere. He just has to give a “Miss Call” to ON / OFF the pump in his farm.

M-POWER is an auxiliary unit connected along with the starter/controller so that once connected with starter, user can control the operation of starter/controller from anywhere anytime.

M-Power Plus was purchased from Suman Electricals on 25-Aug-2023 and installed on 27-Aug-2023. The wiring diagram for connecting to Gem-X DOL was provided by the L&T engineer based on Gem-X circuit diagram.

If the COM port from M-Power was not connected to Red(Com) terminal of DOL, unable to start the motor as the motor status appears as ON even if it is OFF.

Around end Dec'23, Suddenly the M-Power unit started mis-behaving with the following message sequence while trying to OFF the motor and unable to start i.e ON again until there is a power reset.

Based on the L&T engineer’s feedback he wanted me to check two things. If Power LED blinks, i need to interchange Com connection to Blue from Red If it does not blink, then need to change the wiring connection between Red and Blue in the starter.

Eventhough no change was done in the end, the error got resolved with possible cause is suspected to be loose connection.
